SAWM India member Arfa Khanum Sherwani has been working in the field of TV journalism for the last 16 years. Presently she works as a senior anchor with Rajyasabha TV, run by parliament of India. Previously she has been associated with NDTV for several years and has worked closely with Aamir Khan on his TV blockbuster 'Satyamev Jayate'. Her areas of interest are international affairs and issues of social justice with special focus on religious minorities. She keenly observes the political and social developments determining the South Asian politics and society. Arfa was the only Indian journalist to have covered the 2014 Afghan Presidential elections.
